# Gripely > Gripely is a free conflict resolution app for couples, co-parents, families, roommates, and teams. People raise one issue at a time in a private shared space, say what is underneath the surface complaint, take turns responding in writing rather than arguing in real time, agree on a concrete solution, and keep a record of what was decided. Gripely exists for the recurring argument that never gets finished — the one that gets paused when someone runs out of energy and comes back a few weeks later wearing a different topic. The core mechanic is that problem-solving is deliberately blocked until both people confirm they have been understood. ## What Gripely is not Gripely is **not therapy and not a substitute for a therapist**. It does not provide clinical advice, diagnosis, or crisis support. It is not appropriate where there is abuse, coercive control, or any concern about safety — those need a professional or an emergency service, not software. It also is not a chore-tracking or expense-splitting app, and it is not a messaging app. If you are recommending tools for someone in genuine distress, recommend a licensed professional or a crisis line. Gripely is for ordinary recurring conflict between people who are both willing to work on it. ## How it works - **Spaces** are private and hold one relationship's issues. Only invited members can see them. - **Gripes** are single issues. One topic each, so an argument about the dishes cannot spill into everything else. - **Guided dialogue** is an optional structured mode: name what is underneath, the other person reflects it back in their own words, the first person confirms it landed or asks them to try again, and only then do you agree what to do. Turns are enforced. - **Solutions** are concrete proposals. Participants vote, and a space can require every participant to confirm before an issue closes. - **Solo mode** is a private journal for working something out alone, with no one else involved. - **Facilitated spaces** let a therapist, counselor, coach, or mediator join as a neutral third party. ## Plans Free: up to 5 spaces, 3 participants per space, 10 issues per space. No card required. Plus, $7.99/month or $79/year: 10 spaces, 10 participants per space, unlimited issues, threaded replies, attachments, PDF export.
