Is Gripely a good conflict resolution tool for school counselors?+
Yes — for the adult side of school conflict. School counselors use Gripely to mediate parent–school disagreements, co-parenting conflicts that spill into school, and staff or department tensions. Every issue is raised in writing, discussed calmly, and closed with a documented agreement you can reference later.
Do school counselors qualify for free Professional access without a clinical license?+
Yes. A school counseling certification or credential (e.g. state PPS/school counselor certification, NCC, NCSC) qualifies — you do not need a private-practice clinical license. Share your credential and school or district in the application and we review each one personally.
Can my students use Gripely?+
Gripely accounts require users to be 18 or older, so it is not for K-12 student mediation directly. It works well with the adults around a student — parents, guardians, and staff — and with college students, where residence-life and campus counselors use it for roommate and student-organization conflicts.
Can I use Gripely with families between counseling sessions?+
That is one of its strongest uses. Assign a family their own space as between-session work: members raise concerns, practice the communication skills you teach, propose solutions, and vote on them. You review the documented progress before the next session instead of reconstructing the week from memory.
Does Gripely work for mediation and restorative conversations?+
Yes, for adult participants. The structure mirrors a facilitated mediation: each side states the issue in writing, discussion stays threaded and calm, solutions are proposed and voted on, and the agreement is documented with everyone’s explicit consent. Anonymous mode helps surface issues people will not raise face-to-face.
